Ted Karagias, president of American Rifle Company informs viewers about the Mausingfield bolt action and some of the aftermarket components that it is compatible with.
Compatibility with Aftermarket Components Designed for Remington and Savage Rifles
The Mausingfield receiver is compatible with triggers, trigger guards, and magazines designed for use with the Remington Model 700 (hereafter M700). Below the stock line, the Mausingfield receiver is essentially the same shape as the M700 making it compatible with many of the chassis systems and stocks designed for the M700. However, the unique scope mounting interface of the Mausingfield makes it incompatible with scope mounting rails and chassis systems designed to directly engage the top of the M700 receiver. Additionally, the barrel thread of the Mausingfield is not the same as that used within the M700 therefore barrels are not interchangeable between the two.
The Mausingfield uses a 1-1/16” x 20 UN 2B barrel thread making it compatible with commercially available Savage small shank barrels and locknuts which can be easily installed without the need for custom machining. Compatibility provides flexibility to those wishing to customize their rifle by choosing from many commercially available components. Customers with questions regarding compatibility should contact American Rifle Company at [email protected].
