Weird Little 3-Frame Animation

Here’s a weird little 3-frame animation using a smear. Do you know about animation smears? They’re a frame of animation that expresses quick movement, or a blur. They usually look ridiculous on their own, so much so that there’s tons of them posted online. SpongeBob has lots of great ones. I highly recommend searching for “animation smears” and being entertained.

I made this in Procreate as a quick demo for the video I’m finishing up comparing it with Adobe Fresco. Although, I prefer Fresco overall, there’s a couple features I really like in Procreate. One of them, is the ability to make your onion skin frames different colors. This is really helpful when connecting 2 frames like I’m doing here. Look out for my video comparing the two!
