Here’s a demo video showing how an NTU spin-off, EcoWorth Tech, turns waste cotton into Carbon Fibre Aerogels (CFAs) - a material which can absorb oils, grease or solvents up to 190 times its own weight. This process converts waste into a value-added product that can be used in the oil & gas industry, and for food waste and wastewater treatment. This is one of the innovations which was showcased at the CleanEnviro Summit Singapore.
