Howdy! Had a fun time running the race this year. This is my first time doing the Huntersville half and really enjoyed the course. Really surprised by my timing as I did not train for this race as I hoped. Did a handful of 2-4 miles in the last 2 weeks and felt unprepared. The cold weather helped my breathing in the race, but my legs started to feel heavy and sore around mile 6.But I still managed to finish strong! As usual, I started at a 10 min pace with the latter group, and managed to finish at a 7.19 min pace for the last mile.
