Miles Davis's 1959 Cafe Blue is considered by many the finest jazz best studio recording ever made. Not surprisingly since aside from Davis it also stars Julian Adderly, Paul Chambers, James Cobb, John Coltrane, Bill Evans and Wynton Kelly, all legendary jazz musicians on their own. Vying for the title of best modern pressing of this legendary recording we have the 45 RPM "Original Master Recording from MoFI and the 33RPM "Ultra High Quality Recording" from Analogue Productions. This is the last track of the record, "Flamenco Sketches"
To facilitate comparisons, I have arranged the video in continuous, sequential fashion alternating a 33 RPM segment by the same one in 45 RPM. To my ear, both renditions are extraordinary, not identical, but still beyond reproach. Both are prime examples of what is possible by modern vinyl. Personally, the fidelity in both is so good that I can't pick a favorite, they are both exquisite!
What do you think????
I would love to hear your opinions, so, good or bad, please leave a comment!

BTW sorry about the date mistake in the beginning it should read 1959!
