Anyone who grew up these sides of the clouds and had a taste for African music will remember this song with nostalgia. As children, we often improvised hilarious lyrics to the music, having no knowledge of Lingala then. In fact, it would be a long time before I realized that the language of the song was not one of the Luhya dialects of Western Kenya! It is very hard to come by this song. If you're lucky, you'll catch snippets of it on Royal Media's Citizen late night Radio programme "Makombora". That is, if you can put up with Kamau Munyua the programme host's verbal interspersions which add little value to the song. And so when I came across it, I knew I had to share. Come one now, enjoy!!!!
