In this special behind-the-scenes video, I’m showing you how I animated a Lego AT-ST walker without using traditional stop motion. Instead of animating frame by frame like I did in my last project, I took a different approach this time—photographing each part of the AT-ST separately, removing the green screen backgrounds in Photoshop, and bringing it all together in Adobe Premiere to create a clean, loopable walk cycle.

I’ll also show you a quick look back at how I used stop motion and green screen for my earlier project, and how this new technique compares in terms of flexibility and workflow.
