I set out on a quiet journey, stopping first to offer a silent prayer for the road ahead.
Then I drove north and found myself alone on a small hill, surrounded by wind turbines and open sky.
That night, the wind never fully settled.
Instead of setting up a tent, I relied only on an awning and a wind wall, slowly turning the HUMMER H1 into a cozy place to rest.
There were moments of calm, moments of wind, and a night that wasn’t perfect —
but by morning, with a cup of coffee in hand, the car had become a shelter.
This is quiet car camping in Japan.
