In Episode 2 of my kolkata to Arunachal Pradesh Ride, the journey continues from Islampur to the gateway of the Northeast — Mangoldoi, Assam.
We start early, ride through the lush tea gardens of Bagdogra, enjoy a wholesome roadside breakfast, and then take the scenic route via Jalpaiguri and Hasimara.
After crossing into Assam, we stop for a hearty lunch that fuels us for a long evening ride. As the sun sets, we ride through forests and highways in pitch darkness before reaching Mangoldoi — just 65 km away from Arunachal Pradesh.
The mountains are near... and the excitement is real.
