Advice for the Spiritual Path

In the first session of our 2025 Konya retreat Baraka Blue introduces us to the opening lines of the Mathnawi. The first 35 lines of this 25,000 line epic poem frame the human situation: we have forgotten our origin and our true nature. But there is a way to recover the lost heart, return to our source and awaken to what has always been.

One must only set out on the journey with sincere intention and the path will be made easy. The Prophets and saints have tread the path and have shined the light so that we can find our way.

Rumi, in the tradition of these great spiritual masters, has written this poem as a map of our own souls in order to guide us to remembrance, realization and illumination.
