Hiking the Kiowa Trail at Palo Duro Canyon State Park in the Texas Panhandle, south of Amarillo, TX. This trail is pretty easy and very peaceful. It takes you next to the "river," where you are surrounded by tall trees and the scenic Permian red beds. We started this hike near the GSL trailhead and hiked towards the pavilion trailhead, which is our preferred way to hike it, and crossed back over the river to hike back on the other side, turning the hike into a loop.
