I Visited One of the Smallest Capital Cities in the World – Mbabane, Eswatini

Tucked in the scenic highlands of Southern Africa, Mbabane, the capital of Eswatini, is a charming and peaceful city that feels more like a quiet town than a bustling capital. Surrounded by rolling green hills and bisected by the Mbabane River, the city blends natural beauty with a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Unlike many major capitals, Mbabane isn’t about towering skyscrapers or endless traffic. Instead, it offers a slower pace of life, with markets, small shops, and cozy cafes lining the streets. The backdrop of the Ezulwini Valley and the nearby mountains adds to its tranquil appeal.

Despite its size, Mbabane is a hub of cultural and political life in Eswatini, where tradition and modernity coexist harmoniously. Visiting it reminded me that capital cities don't have to be huge to be full of character and meaning.
