A tribute to the legendary King Rasta – King of the Mountains

It was a wonderful journey that I was able to take together with this incredibly loyal, active, curious, adventurous dog ‪@rastawhiteshepherd‬
He showed me that life happens in the here and now. He showed me that it is the little things in life that we must value.
He taught me to appreciate the treasures of nature and he taught me to love—unconditionally, until my last breath.
I therefore look back on the last 11.5 years with pride and gratitude.
You brought us and so many people out there so much joy and so many magical moments. Now it's time to keep running, to discover, and somewhere—my faithful friend—we will meet again. Then we'll knock down snowmen together, sort pinecones, dig up stones, and run together across meadows covered with dandelions.
Thank you for being my friend. I will miss you terribly.

A big thank you goes to our doctor Anna, who has accompanied us through this difficult time. You have repeatedly given Rasta new energy and thus given him precious months of life.

A big thank you also goes to all the people out there who have given us so much love and respect in return. I am proud to have you as a community. You show that there is still so much good in the world.

And the last big thank you goes to you, Rasta. Your infectious zest for life, your determination to always make the best of every situation, your ability to appreciate the little things in life and enjoy the moment – that is your legacy, and you leave behind a huge void in the lives of many people. But somehow, you will never die. You are immortalised in thousands of photos and videos that will carry you around the world again and again.
I am deeply grateful to you for everything you have done for us.
