Hedy Schleifer tells participants in a couples counseling workshop a story about a disagreement she and her husband had over a jacket. They both recognized the insignificance of arguing over an article of clothing. But then Hedy has a realization her disdain for her husband's jacket actually reminders her of the embarrassment she felt as a child when her father could not afford a fancy, new jacket for special occasions. In return, Yumi expresses compassion for the feelings and memories his tattered jacket triggered in her.
