NCATS Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetic Core — Virtual Lab Tour 2022

The Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics Lab was created in 2011 at the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS/NIH), under the Division of Preclinical Innovation (DPI). Our mission is to advance translational science in drug discovery and development by applying pharmacokinetics concepts to guide drug design, lead selection, dose regimen design for pivotal efficacy and safety evaluations, and human PK property forecast prior to clinical trials. Our lab has the capability to conduct in vitro ADME and in vivo pharmaceutics studies as well as computational modeling for all stages of drug discovery and development projects.
