I Caught My Bipolar Manic Episodes on Camera

A reaction video to my life living with bipolar disorder manic episodes and depressive episodes, all caught on camera, including ones prior to my diagnosis. Over the last 15 years I've been documenting the ups and downs of my life, not knowing that this footage would eventually help me realize I needed to seek mental health assistance and ultimately get diagnosed with bipolar disorder with psychotic features. As of February 22, 2023 it's been a year since my diagnosis. So I thought this would be the perfect time to reflect back on my life and see where my mental health journey took its most notable dips, lifts, and turns. From raw dogging it to finally taking mood stabilizers and antipsychotics to help with the mania stop a psychotic episode, this last year has been quite a trek.

What is bipolar disorder? Bipolar disorder is a mental health disorder of the brain that causes periods of either mania or depression, sometimes referred to as mood episodes. These episodes can last from 3-4 days to weeks or even several months. In some cases, these episodes can come with psychosis which can be characterized as a detachment from reality by way of hallucinations or delusions.
