City of Heroes || DEFCON: Aftermath EMPATHY Verdict

Two Empaths enter the gauntlet — only one comes out on top.

In this episode of DEFCON: The Aftermath, I pit two Empathy powerhouses against the full slate of AE 801 missions to see which one truly supports their team better:

Frisson Sensate (Symphony Control / Empathy / Ice) – a Controller who floods the battlefield with controls and raw damage.

Ankh, Lord of the Wrapped (Empathy / Water Blast / Soul) – a Defender who mixes healing, buffs, and direct firepower.

We break down their performance across every metric: survivability, risk, resilience, buffs, lethality, threat, disruption, efficiency, and pets. Who kept their team alive? Who brought the bigger offensive punch? And who proved the better supporter overall?

Key Highlights:

Frisson overwhelmed enemies with control volume and raw damage spikes.

Ankh soaked more punishment, doubled his buffs, and converted his output into far more kills.

Both showcased the strengths — and weaknesses — of Empathy in high-end content.

⚖️ Final Verdict: Frisson smothered, but Ankh struck true. The Empathy crown goes to Ankh.
