In 1980, Master Manzoor Hussain, the able music composer of Pakistan composed two Ghazals for Dr. Amjad Parvez of poet Munir Nizai. These were recorded at Lahore's EMI Studios. The twin ghazals are presented here with video giving photographs of Master Manzoor with another senior music composer Ustad Nazar-e-Hussain. The video also includes illustrations of poet Munir Niazi. Master Manzoor has used Raag Pahari in the first Ghazal 'Khwab-o-Kheyal-e-Gul Sey Kidhar Jaeye Aadmai' though he is known to have weakness for Raag Bharvin. Master Manzoor's famous film number 'Tu Jo Nahin Hey To Kuth Bhi Nahin Hei' was lifted by Indian movie maker Mahesh Bhatt and Master Manzoor was not asked for patronage. He is hurt. He was conferred upon with President of Pakistan's Pride of Performance Civil Award in the year 2009.
One of the metaphors used in abundance by poet Munir Niazi is that of Jungle and the other of 'Safar' (journey). These metaphors are used in the twin Ghazals presented here. Both stalwarts join hands with Dr. Amjad Parvez to create these memorable Ghazals which have archival value now after almost three decades.
