Exploring an abandoned Atlas F (ICBM) missile silo located on a farm in the midwestern United States. The Atlas missile was used from 1959 to 1965 although some missiles were used as late as 1990 for space launches. The missiles could be configured to carry a nuclear warhead and were the first missiles able to do so. 350 Atlas missiles (all varieties) were built with heights from 75-85ft and weights of 260,000lbs each. 24 were launched with 11 failures and 13 successful launches. The Atlas missile system was quickly phased out by the more advanced Titan II missiles.
