your adhd wasn't exactly something you thought would be too big of an issue when you applied to your new workplace. however, that thought quickly surfaced after a few months into the job and a slew of mean jokes and scoldings simply for little habits you had that were out of your control. after a particularly rough day at work, you come home to the hotel and your wonderful girlfriend charlie, who has a few things to say about how you've been treated...


this video is part of my attempt to spread awareness for mental health awareness month! please be kind to anyone you know who struggles with this disorder, as it is never fair to judge someone for something they can't control. i hope those who relate to this video can find comfort in charlie's words. you are absolutely not defined by your adhd, nor should you ever be. 💛


what is adhd?
adhd is a developmental disorder characterized by an ongoing pattern of one or more of the following types of symptoms:
inattention, such as having difficulty paying attention, keeping on task, or staying organized; hyperactivity, such as often moving around (including during inappropriate times), feeling restless, or talking excessively; and impulsivity, such as interrupting, intruding on others, or having trouble waiting one’s turn. it is common for people to show these behaviors some of the time. However, for people with adhd, the behaviors are frequent and occur across multiple situations, such as at school, at home, at work, or with family and friends.
