There's a small but significant change in the way Harry and Cho's relationship ends. In the movie, their break-up is shown to be a mutual decision, but in the book, it's a bit more complicated. Cho introduces her friend Marietta to the group, and unfortunately, Marietta ends up betraying Dumbledore's Army to Umbridge. The reason for this is because Marietta's mother works at the Ministry of Magic, and Umbridge threatens to fire her if Marietta doesn't cooperate. This betrayal causes tension between Harry and Cho, and ultimately leads to their break-up. Cho later tries to plead for some sympathy for Marietta with Harry, but this only angers him more.
