The other night I had the joy of attending the Pacific Philharmonia Tokyo, with my dear friend Keitaro Harada (@khconductor) conducting.
It wasn’t just a concert. It felt like time stood still.
A moment so full of beauty, it was hard to put into words.
In Japanese, there’s a word for this feeling. Yuugen (幽玄).
It means a quiet, mysterious beauty.
The kind you can’t see, but you feel.
Like the pause between notes.
Like the emotion that rises without warning.
Yuugen is when music doesn’t just fill the room.
It fills you.
And this night was just that.
