Ok so heres the story to it...she used to have two sisters that were her twin/triplets...they both died but their souls ended up in nayla body...an keep in mind one of them was a demon and other an angel...so the demon twin grew jealous of her sister...and made her hurt her family.....angel saw her mother kill his twin sistee that he got mad and attacked nayla and when she had killed nylah..she used her body to make her a minion ish BUT!!From there with the amulet thing angel had on his head when he transformed into his demonic werewolf...he summoned his father to help with the fight Since the angelic sister was watching over the fight she had more power over her live sister(nayla) she switched souls with her....making herself die so her demonic sister wont take over again....which made nayla an angel since she was innocent in a way.
