24 Hours in St. Moritz 🇨🇭 | Off-Season Magic in the Swiss Alps - October

St. Moritz, Switzerland: Lakeside Luxury, Leaning Towers & Whiskey in the Alps!

We spent one magical night in the glamorous alpine town of St. Moritz during Switzerland’s peaceful off-season. From lakeside strolls to family calls, whiskey tastings, and leaning towers—this quiet detour was a perfect blend of elegance and calm in the Swiss Alps.

Day 1:After a relaxing morning in Liechtenstein, we took our final MyDayTrip private ride through the Austrian and Swiss Alps to reach St. Moritz. We checked into the stunning Waldhaus am See, nestled right on the St Moritz Lake. Lunch with a view at the hotel kicked off our stay, followed by a peaceful lakeside walk and some family calls. Later, we rode the hillside escalator (yes, really - a public escalator to get to town - and the longest in Switzerland) into town to explore the Leaning Tower of St. Moritz. We capped the night with a cozy pizza dinner at La Stalla Restaurant Pizzeriaand a visit to the hotel’s legendary whiskey bar - home to one of the largest whiskey collections in the world.

Day 2:A brisk morning walk around the glassy lake and a delicious breakfast at the Waldhaus am See before heading down to the train station. We joined the crowd of excited travelers awaiting the arrival of the famous Glacier Express - next stop, more Alpine adventures!

What started as 40 from august to august has expanded to the start of 2023 to August 2024. Due to other people planning things that we want to join… before August 2023. This is the celebration of “omg Kassie survived 40 years - we never thought it would happen.” Maybe the next 40, I’ll be more careful so it won’t be so surprising. 40 “experiences” have to be #1 unique, #2 require the day and night in the location to count, #3 that’s it.
