Heaviest Train Ever Hits The Grade In Lakeland Florida & New Amtrak Locomotives, Quad Gate RR Xings!

CSX Locomotives Roaring Loudly With Over Loaded Rock & Scrap Metal Cars! Brand New Amtrak Charger Locomotives Double Head Passenger Train On One Of Their First Runs, Locomotive Power Move Seen From My Motel Window & Fast Intermodal Train. These trains are in Lakeland, Florida and Mulberry, Florida on CSX Tampa, Florida area routes.
The first train is the best train that I have seen in Lakeland, Florida. This is train M452 and it had a mid train DPU locomotive working hard and I got it going up the long grade in Lakeland. It is a daily freight train that runs from Miami to Waycross, Georgia. It had loaded rock cars up front and a lot of over loaded scrap metal cars in the middle. It had just passed the Amtrak station when I filmed it crossing Kentucky Ave. I wish the camera could show what it's like standing next to a huge train like this. You really feel the power and the size when you are standing next to it.
Next we see both sides of an Amtrak train in Lakeland on its way to Tampa. Amtrak uses this route to run between New York and Miami. This train has 2 of the 75 new ALC-42 locomotives that are being delivered to Amtrak throughout 2024. They are primarily replacing the P40 and P42 locomotives. They will reach 125mph, they use less fuel and are more environmentally friendly. About 850 million dollars was set aside in 2019 to purchase the new locomotives and pay for their maintenance contracts. I will also be posting a video of 3 of them on a passenger train in Florida. They are being built by Siemens in Sacramento, California.
This video shows the Tropicana/intermodal train passing through Lakeland at another quad gate railroad crossing with Amtrak following them on their return from Tampa. We also see a locomotive power move from my window at the motel in Mulberry, Florida. I had a great view of the railroad. I watched phosphate trains pass by and I saw trains with tank cars pass by. The outro shows part of a train at a railroad diamond in the middle of a 4 lane highway in Mulberry. I will put that full video together soon.
