Southern Pacific, The City of San Francisco - Pacific Coast Lines

Southern Pacific handled the western stretch of the City of San Francisco between Ogden and Oakland, linking passengers to San Francisco and communities across the Bay Area. Rapido’s ALCo PAs look right at home leading the streamliner in these shots—taken at several classic locations along the Pacific Coast Lines. Thanks to through Pullman and chair-car service, passengers are spared the inconvenience of changing trains, adding to the overall comfort of the journey.
