AoE II Definitive Edition – The Horns of Hattin | Saladin Campaign (No Cheats)

In this mission of the Saladin campaign, set in 1187 during the Crusades, Saladin faces the united armies of the Crusader states near the twin hills known as the Horns of Hattin. The Crusaders march under the protection of a powerful religious relic — the Piece of the True Cross — which inspires their army and strengthens their resolve.

Your goal is to defeat the Crusaders by capturing the relic and returning it to the Horns of Hattin, symbolizing Saladin’s historic victory and the collapse of Crusader morale.

You begin with limited resources in the desert and must build your economy, train an effective army, and fight against heavily armored knights, monks, and siege weapons. Victory requires strong battlefield control, careful unit management, and decisive attacks against a determined enemy.

This scenario recreates one of the most important battles of the Crusades and marks a turning point in Saladin’s campaign to reclaim the Holy Land.
