Yamaha start/stop switches are notorious for causing no-start problems due to no spark. If your Superjet or WaveRunner cranks but won't fire or start, rule out the start/stop switch first. It's quick and easy!

Note: now that I've replaced my switch, the engine only cranks when the lanyard is attached. With the lanyard removed, nothing happens when I press the start button. When I had a bad switch, the engine would crank whether or not the lanyard was attached.
