စစ်ကိုင်းတိုင်း၊ ကသာမြို့မှာ ရွေးကောက်ပွဲ ပြုလုပ်ပြီးနောက် ညနေပိုင်းမှစတင်ကာ KIA နဲ့ တော်လှန်ရေးတပ်ဖွဲ့တွေက မြို့သိမ်းတိုက်ပွဲ စတင်ဆင်နွှဲနေပြီး စစ်တပ်ကာကင်းစခန်းတချို့ရရှိထားကာ တိုက်ပွဲပြင်းထန်နေကြောင်း သိရှိရပါတယ်။ စစ်ကောင်စီဟာ အခုအချိန်မှာ တော်လှန်ရေးတပ်ဖွဲ့တွေရဲ့ မြို့သိမ်းတိုက်ပွဲတွေကို ထပ်မံရင်ဆိုင်နေရပြီပဲဖြစ်ပါတယ်။

KIA and resistance forces (PDF) launched a city-seizure offensive starting in the evening. They have reportedly captured several military outposts, and intense fighting is ongoing. At present, the military junta is once again facing city-capture offensives by revolutionary forces.

International news outlet Al Jazeera has criticized and highlighted flaws in the junta’s election.

In Tanintharyi Region’s Myeik city, the USDP (Union Solidarity and Development Party) has reportedly suffered defeat in the election.
