Today we are replacing the thermostat housing assembly in a 2012 Dodge Avenger. This job is something you can do! It is not too difficult and you don't need to pay your mechanic a lot of money to get this done. The thermostat housing assembly costs about $50 on RockAuto and Amazon, and then about 2 hours depending on your experience. After the 1st time you do it, the next time you will be able to do the job in less than 1 hour. Let me know how you did. Did you have problems? Did the replacement go smoothly?
