The Honda Insight is set to re-write the economics of Hybrid ownership in Australia. The bottom line? With the price of oil heading north and a pricepoint around $30,000 (that's $10,000 cheaper than a Toyota Prius) the Insight could well be the right car for Honda at exactly the right time. The new Insight is basically a fuel-efficient city commuter car with very few inherent compromises. Eco-cool features? Plenty — how about fuel-saving automatic engine shutdown when you're stopped in traffic, plus an 'eco coaching' driving indicator that trains you to drive for peak fuel efficiency?
