After the inconclusive fight at the Glendale crossroads, McClellan pulled back the Army of the Potomac and prepared for the climatic fight on top of the heights of Malvern Hill. Lee prepared for his last chance to destroy the Yankee army before it reaches the protective guns of the Federal navy that is anchored right beside Harrison's Landing. Fitz John Porter, the Commanding general on the field for the Federal Army massed an amazing array of cannons to stop the confederate onslaught, over 170 guns have been emplaced on Malvern Hill to help beat back the Confederate Army that is sure to come. Will Lee and his Army of Northern Virginia be able to destroy McClellan's Army of the Potomac before they can safely reach the gunboats at Harrison's Landing?
