Winter 2026 Rocket League [Week Two Doubleheader]

After a restful holiday break, the Winter 2026 Wisconsin High School Esports Association Rocket League regular season resumes! We will have two featured Week Two matches this afternoon.

First, at 4:00 p.m., the Gibraltar Vikings battle the Wautoma Hornets. Then, at 5:00 p.m., the Wausau West Wolverines will compete against the Port Washington Pirates for the first time!
[Gibraltar vs Wautoma Debrief]
Both Gibraltar and Wautoma are two young teams that have created immediate history against each other in the Winter 2025 season. The Vikings and Hornets competed in Division Three Rocket League alongside powerhouses like Pacelli and Deerfield.

In Division Three action, Gibraltar finished 6-8 overall with a 22-24 game record to finish 11th in the standings. As a result, Gibraltar was the No. 11 seed. For Wautoma, they also finished 6-8 overall with a 22-21 game record. Due to a forfeit loss in Week Seven, they were seeded below Gibraltar at No. 12. Despite that, both teams engaged in a Week Five battle where Wautoma swept Gibraltar 3-0.

In the Winter 2025 Division Three playoffs, the Vikings were eliminated after a 3-0 first-round loss to No. 6 Brookfield Academy. Wautoma pulled off a stunning 3-2 upset victory against No. 5 Little Wolf in the first round. However, their state hopes ended abruptly with a 3-0 quarterfinal loss to No. 4 Williams Bay. With new rosters in Winter 2026, both teams are set to face each other for the first time in nearly a year.


[Wausau West vs Port Washington Debrief]
Both Wausau West and Port Washington collide for the first time in WIHSEA Rocket League thanks to being in the same division in Winter 2026. In their histories, the Warriors were always a Division One team, while the Pirates have been in Division Two.

Since Winter 2023, Port Washington has been a moniker of success, earning a bronze banner two times within three seasons, defeating Waukesha West and Whitefish Bay, respectively.

Wausau West has qualified for the playoffs three consecutive times. However, they haven’t reached the quarterfinals since the Winter 2023 season.
Now, both teams engage in what promises to be a great best-of-five series with two teams who have playoff hopes.
