This is a historic and picturesque mountain village, nestled deep in the mountains with a history spanning over 800 years, dating back to the Northern Song dynasty. The village retains many historical relics, such as old houses, ancient bridges, and slate paths.
The villagers built their homes along the mountainside and by the stream, with structures primarily featuring stone foundations and wooden frames. While some new houses have been built and a number of old ones have collapsed, the village largely maintains the typical traditional character of a Jiangnan mountain town.
This village is Banshan Village(半山村), located in the western mountainous area of Huangyan District, Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province,China.(中国浙江省台州市黄岩区)
