Took a long walk into the parts of my 222-acre bush lot that barely anyone has touched in decades… and it’s basically an open-air museum of old gear.
Zero plan, just boots and a camera. Here’s what I stumbled across:
• Antique horse-drawn plows and harrows half swallowed by the forest
• A couple of 1960s–70s Bombardier Skidoos slowly turning into dirt
• An old Grumman-style aluminum canoe older than me
• The remains of a forgotten camp
• Random tools, chains, barrels and other relics exactly where the last guy left them 50 years ago
This is what you get when you buy raw northern Ontario land that used to belong to old-timers – history just sitting there rusting in peace.
Mostly natural sound on this one (crunching leaves, wind, me going “holy crap look at this”). If you like unscripted, chill exploration walks with zero fake drama, you’ll probably enjoy it.
Let me know in the comments if you’ve ever found cool old stuff on your own property!
