GBO2 Zero Shiki (Post-Buff): Bang bang bang!

This video contains four matches I had with the recently buffed LV1 and LV4 Zero Shiki on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 550-700 cost general with an absolutely absurd short cooldown beam rifle that has the combination of low heat, high stagger accumulation, long range and great DPS. However, outside of the beam rifle, the rest of the suit is really rather mediocre, since it only has LV1 Forced Injector, just 205 boosting speed and trash vulcans. This suit was recently buffed with 1000/2000/3000/3000 more HP, 5 more walking speed, extra custom part slots at every level, LV1 EX Boost at 550-600, LV2 EX Boost at 650-700, better thrusting and turning speed at 650-700, better beam rifle power, 18% beam rifle heat, 14 seconds beam rifle overheating time, 2.5 seconds beam rifle focusing time and better beam saber power. This buff is long overdue, I am not fully sure how to feel about it yet but, it certainly feels real nice if you can get into a nice rhythm with beam rifle spam. I hope that you enjoy watching!

Its primary weapon at LV1 is a beam rifle with 1350 (2400) power, 18% (70%) heat, 0.5 seconds cooldown, 14 seconds overheat time, 0.77 seconds swap time, 400m (500m) range, 47% (65%) stagger value and 2.5 seconds focus time. Relative to cost, this is basically the best spammable beam rifle in the entire game. With good enough aim, this can nuke anybody and stagger really quickly. It can fire 7 shots in a row without overheating, equalling 9450 base damage. This is more damage than what any 550 cost general can do in a midrange combo, and all you have to do is keep firing this one gun to do that.
Its primary melee weapon is a beam saber with 2200 power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.77 seconds swap time and 90%x2 downswing modifier. The base saber power is low but it has very high downswing modifier. You can fire a ton of beam rifle shots after landing the downswing.
Its first sub weapon is a vulcan gun with 70 power, 60 ammo, 450 RPM, 6 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time, 150m range, 525 DPS and 2% stagger value. This is weak in all aspects, it can't stagger the enemy and has awful DPS. It is acceptable to finish low HP enemies but your beam rifle would be better for that.
Its second sub weapon is a birdlime launcher with 300 power, 1 ammo, 25 seconds reload, 1 second swap time and 0% stagger value. This does nearly no damage but it instant stuns, so it can serve as an emergency self defence tool in close quarters.

The LV1 Zero Shiki has 17000 HP, 19 ballistic/beam resist and 22 melee resist. It has pretty terrible durability, which is a problem made even worse by its lack of close range self defence ability and lack of Maneuver Armor, meaning that if you are caught in a combo from a general or support, you are basically done for. It has LV1 Emergency Evasion and LV1 Instant Thruster Precision System for defence skills.
In terms of mobility it has 130 walk speed, 205 boosting speed, 75 thrust and 72 turning speed. It has plenty of thrust and good turning speed, but only 205 boosting speed and LV1 Forced Injector, making it feel somewhat sluggish in comparison to other 550 costers. It also has LV2 Flight Control.

In conclusion, I feel that while the Zero Shiki is a lot of fun, especially at 700 cost where it has even more absurd firepower, it isn't that good in comparison to other suits. It has great firepower, but that is it, in every other area it has serious weaknesses. This could be seen as a way to balance out the powerful primary weapon, but I think that they could adjust that balance a bit more. Considering the monsters that are in 550 cost, it would have been totally fair for this thing to have gotten LV2 Emergency Evasion, LV2 Forced Injector, better boosting speed and better vulcans. As such, I can't fully recommend it for use in rated matches, since a suit like Bull-G would offer far greater stagger support to the team while still having good DPS. Other midrange focused generals also tend to have much better self defence. Regardless, it is a fun suit to mess about with in quick matches. Thanks for watching, and I hope that you enjoyed it!
