Someone and somebody
What are the difference between someone and somebody?
Today's lesson I will share with you the different meaning and usage of someone, somebody, someone else and somebody else.
You may have wondered how different of the these words before, not only you but many english users have the same question about these words.
Someone and somebody are synonym, they are both pronoun. Someone and somebody are used when we don't know the person or the person is not specified. They are used interchangeably in different context.
examples:
I am thinking about someone/somebody.
Someone/somebody tells him to turn the music down!
Different between Someone and Somebody
Someone is more formal than somebody
Someone is used in writing, email, letter, legal, more formal conversation.
Somebody is used in information communication and in the casual situation.
Someone is a much more likely choice than somebody.
examples:
Please organize someone to pick up guests at the airport.
Somebody is looking for you outside.
Someone else vs Somebody else
You could give it to somebody else.
Ask somebody else to help you.
Why me? Why can't someone else drive you?
