Ultracycling has a reputation for being brutal and painful… but today proves it can also be joyful, playful, and completely magical.

I ride at my own pace, soak up the incredible Chilean landscapes, chat with riders, laugh a lot, and climb all the way up the legendary Las Raíces Pass, the highest point of the race. It’s a reminder that you really can race these events however you want — and still have the best time ever.
