Did we find the real Stars Hollow? Maybe. In this episode, we go on a "Gilmore Girls" road trip around Connecticut, exploring the quant little towns said to be the inspiration for the show.

And, before you say that, "Josh was dragged around to find the Gilmore Girls Stars Hollow", he was not! In fact, every Fall, Josh asks when we are going to watch Gilmore Girls. It's become sort of a tradition of ours together.

If you aren't fans of the show, no worries; you still 100% should explore the fabled towns said to be the inspiration for Stars Hollow. You can easily make a day of it or two, depending on how much time you spend exploring each location. We did it in 1-day and felt like we had adequate time to see the main locations like Luke's Diner, Doseys Market, Town Hall, the Dragon Fly and Independence Inns, the town center green and gazebo, Rory's prep school, and many more.

In our opinion, starting the day in Washington Depot is well worth it. There you'll find the hardware store, Luke's diner, and Dosey's Market. Highly recommend coffee and breakfast at Marty's Cafe (inspo for Lukes); the food and coffee were amazing! Grab some snacks at Washington Market (inspo for Doseys), and don't forget to check out town hall and the bookstore.

We thought New Milford had the closest resemblance to the actual Stars Hollow from the show with the town surrounding a large green space and gazebo. If you are there and hungry, check out Johana's Restaurant. It's a great Latino/American eats option at an affordable price. Also, a great option for light fare is River + Rail.

Our day ended in Litchfield which was perfect, because Espresso 59 is a great way to treat yourself after a long day on the road. They have amazing gelato, coffees, and even whipped cream and treat cups for your furry friends! This stop was a hit for the whole family.

We enjoyed our Gilmore Girls Road Trip so much and would recommend it to anyone visiting CT and looking for a fun way to explore the quant towns, local eats, and beautiful Connecticut countryside.
