Replacing the front ujoint and yoke after breaking down in the mud with our new 1989 Yamaha Big Bear. We are also replacing a torn cv boot and brake handle with master cylinder .
1989 Yamaha Big Bear was driving in the muddy garden and suddenly there was a loud metal noise and it stopped moving. A quick look revealed that there was damage to the front driveshaft area. I got on the TC-18 diesel tractor and rescued the ATV.
Once we got the 4-wheeler up on jackstands and started tearing into it we found that the front ujoint had broken and resulted in breaking the front yoke also.
We ordered some parts and about 2 weeks later the Yamaha is back on the trails!
