How to get from Ninh Binh to Phat Diem Cathedral by bus

A 45 minute to 1 hour bus ride depending on the traffic.
I couldn’t find much information online on how to get from Ninh Binh town to Phat Diem cathedral by bus, so hopefully this video helps someone else who is thinking of doing the same.
The bus station is easy enough to find - about half way between Ninh Binh railway station and the town centre (a 10 minute walk). No need to buy a ticket at the ticket office, just walk out the back, get on the number 2 bus to Loc Son and pay the conductor after it’s set off. It costs 25000VND each way, which is under £1/€1/$1. The conductor didn’t speak English (why would he!) but as long as you say ‘Phat Diem Cathedral’ he’ll let you know when to get off.
To get back to Ninh Binh, just stand on the opposite side of the street from the drop off point and flag the bus down like you would a taxi.
The cathedral is very nice, it’s free entry and well worth a visit if you’re in Ninh Binh.
