This is a personal audio/video homage to a few of John Williams' lyrical pastoral cues written for film like THE COWBOYS, SUPERMAN, THE RIVER, THE PATRIOT and AMISTAD in the style of 'Americana'. The composer used extensively this established musical style following the footsteps of great American symphonic composers like Aaron Copland and Roy Harris, usually to enhance the historical/geographical setting of the films for which these scores were written for. In these cues, Williams gives his own reading of a well-loved musical style through the use of woodwinds, brass and strings and some specific chords and intervals. The result is some of the composer's most inspired music written for film.
A special mention to the amazing artistry of all the great musicians who played in these film scores and brought them to life.
