In the late 1980s and early 1990s WNYU 89.1 FM was the premier radio station to hear what was considered, at the time, the best in underground music in NYC.
I felt very lucky to have been at home, with a blank tape at the ready to record what was Keoki’s appearance at the station for their Club 89 night. I was a regular at Keoki’s Disco 2000 residency at NYC’s The Limelight on Wednesday nights so to catch his set on the radio was a treat.
I tried as best as possible to clean up the audio.
