Gilding a cockerel weathervane

Full start to finish restoration of a copper cockerel weathervane by Ruth Tappin.
Removing the paint, repairs, painting then oil gilding in 23.5ct gold leaf.
Sad to say one dog toy was destroyed in the making of this video!

The weathervane is now back up on St Ann's Church, South Tottenham.
