In the 1990s, Sega streamed video games through cable TV.

When Sega Channel shut down in 1998, most of its data disappeared. For decades, fans believed much of its library was gone for good.

Recently, a major preservation effort recovered 144 Sega Channel ROMs, including system software, game variants, and content that was never meant to survive.
