A jury on Tuesday found a Tampa man guilty of first-degree murder in the 2022 death of 14-year-old Nilexia Alexander. Now, he could face the death penalty.
Ronny Walker was found guilty of shooting Alexander and leaving her body in an empty field on West Floribraska Avenue. The same jury that issued the ruling will return to court on Thursday to begin the sentencing phase of the trial.
The sentencing phase begins at 10 a.m. on Thursday and can be streamed live on 10 Tampa Bay+.
