Three Reasons Not To Restore A Bike?

Why for some people it's not a great idea to restore a bike.
If after watching my video you still want to restore a bike, I recommend a bike repair stand to get the bike off the ground where it's convenient to work. Also, a floor stand is handy when you need to tighten the bottom bracket, check pedal torque and to make sure the wheels are set all the way in the dropouts of the forks. I have the ones listed below, but any good quality ones will do. My floor stand has an adjustable width, so if you have a fat tire bike you can set it for that, too. The stands I bought off Amazon are reasonably priced, and they've worked okay for me. If your bike weighs 60 pounds or more, you'll need to find a sturdier bike stand. My bikes were all in the 30 to 40 pound range.
