When Start and Stop closed, this will cause the Master Control Instruction-[MC N0 M0]- to be executed. The master control instruction enables a particular part of the ladder diagram to become operative. This is shown on the ladder diagram as a pair of normally open horizontal contacts, which enable the operation of the remaining instructions . If the Instruction [MC N0 M0] - is not executed, then the subsequent instructions will be ignored.
With start, stop and X2 closed, Output Y0 will energise. At any point if the STOP is opened the circuit will shut down due to the Master Control Instruction.
