What a cool trade mark! Star began making .45 ACP pistols in 1923. This Star Model P is a second year production gun. This second year production pistol was purchased by Gaztanaga in June 1925. The retailer then marked the right side of the slide with his ‘Destroyer’ trade mark. Survival of these pistols is very low and besides, who wouldn’t like a 45 caliber pistol named Destroyer!
