In this video I do some tuning and evaluating of the 7 hole .011" diameter 148 Deg SAC injectors. I got these from @pddofficial . There aren't a lot of first gen Cummins trucks out there working hard anymore but I still have one I use like it was meant to be. Follow along as I improve this 160hp beast in the quest for a truck that could keep up with the new ones on the grades with the same 30000lb loads and be reliable and fuel efficient in the process. I mainly use my truck as a work vehicle but it can be a fun daily driver as well. I am working towards useable power not just peak race power so my setup is a bit unconventional. I don't have access to a good dyno but the consistent 17000lb combo of my truck and trailer makes a pretty good test bed. It won't notice small changes in power but the big ones for sure show up. Withe the stock injectors it started the hill at 55 and gained to 58 so 3mph. Now it is going from 55 to 66mph so 11mph. It went from EGT in check to out of control though and it is still a little smoky when up on boost so it needs more air. I will have to address that next. I will probably try a few singles first then wind up with twins. Thanks for watching!
